Job Summary:

Provide support for the PMBU sales organization as directed by the VP of Sales and National Business Coordinator. This position is a development role designed to aid the Sales Support Representative in obtaining the skillset, competencies and knowledge required to advance to a sales representative position or other roles in the organization.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Lead fulfillment management for assigned sales groups and programs, including internal routing, set-up, tracking, and processing per the fulfillment calendar
  • Track and process, as directed, purchase orders, co-op funds, quotes, customer agreements and accruals for assigned sales groups and programs
  • Review and resolve compliance issues and variances including discounts, deductions, and short pays (CUPOA/floor pricing)
  • Provide administrative support for meeting and tradeshow management – including implementation of process and expenditure tracking
  • Provide administrative support for the collection and reporting of key data to the PMBU VP of Sales and National Business Coordinator
  • Liaison with external customers, and internal teams including sales representatives, Marketing and other departments within the organization to accomplish above duties, while developing skillset for advancement
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Experience:

  • Support experience welcome, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with reconciliation of sales reports, rebate calculations, and progress against budget preferred.

Knowledge / Skill / Abilities:

  • Knowledge of or interest in the Green Industry preferred
  • Ability to use MS Office, Excel, and Power Point
  • Desire to function as part of a team
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Results driven, with exceptional practical judgement and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skill with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • BA/BS required. BA/BS in an industry related discipline (agronomy, horticulture, ag business) preferred.

Requirements:

  • Travel required in this position: Less than 5%
  • Located or willing to relocate to the Kansas City area required
