The kind of person we're looking for:

A self-directed, confident person who can work without a great deal of structure or supervision. Technology consultants are detail oriented with a strong sense of ‘follow through.’

As a technology consultant, you are the most important link to our clients. You are responsible for guiding new clients from the moment they sign through launch. You will lead the full project life-cycle deployments of clients' loyalty, gift, mobile app, and messaging programs. You will translate client marketing requirements into technical solutions, drive internal facing projects, support teammates, and consult with groups across Paytronix in a highly collaborative team environment.

The kind of stuff you'll be doing:

  • Leading client deployment and on-going projects
  • Translating client marketing requirements into rule-based technical solutions
  • Building rapport and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations
  • Installing and configuring software for clients based on your program designs
  • Tackling technical troubleshooting issues including occasionally handling on-call support
  • Writing technical knowledge based articles, installation guides, training materials, and other documents for ranging skill levels
  • Communicating effectively and professionally in person, over the phone and through email
  • Working with the Paytronix engineering team on feature generation, testing, and quality assurance
  • Assisting in the recruitment and mentorship of new technology consultants
  • Taking on additional responsibilities as necessary for the expansion and support of the team and company
  • Traveling less than 5% out of the Boston-based office. Traveling less than 10% out of the Denver-based office

The kind of experience you'll need:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of personalities
  • Strong technically minded and detail-oriented background with a passion for problem solving
  • BS or BA degree and/or relevant work experience within the computer and/or IT industry
  • Demonstrated team-based project experience
  • Well-honed verbal and written communication skills with technical documentation experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows administration, IT networking experience, and MS Office (Excel)

The  extra stuff that would be nice:

  • Experience in the restaurant industry and/or with point-of-sale systems such as Micros
  • Knowledge of software development and testing
  • Account management acumen
  • Applied knowledge of HTML, web design, graphic design, data analysis, or computer programming
  • Experience with client service including the delivery of training sessions
