The kind of person we’re looking for:

We’re looking for an energetic, persuasive, take-charge person with product management experience. You’ll need strong communication skills (emphasis on listening and asking key questions) to collaborate with both internal and external teams. You’ll recommend product enhancements, build understanding of product costs, and contribute to go-to-market strategies. You will act as the evangelist for the product offering helping both internal and external teams feel confident about its value and functionality.

The kind of stuff you’ll be doing:

  • Being the Product Owner of the front-end & transactional engineering teams
  • Ensuring that development work maximizes value and is aligned with overall business and product strategy
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and innovation by making suggestions to improve work systems, processes and procedures used in terms of service, accuracy of output, responsiveness etc
  • Meeting with clients and prospects to understand requirements
  • Writing technical user stories, collaborating and communicating feature requests to engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Identifying, sizing and prioritizing increments of work to be targeted for each iteration
  • Communicating the project status, readiness, issues and risks to management & stakeholders
  • Providing direction, backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of user stories for agile engineering teams
  • Helping define and establish Paytronix’s agile processes, standards, and best practices
  • Training internal teams on product development changes
  • Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) on features developed by engineering teams and determining if a product enhancement meets the criteria to ship
  • Participate in daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives


The kind of experience you’ll need:

  • 1+ years’ experience in an agile software development environment
  • Exceptional communication skills including the ability to deliver precise, detailed requirements to the engineering team
  • Familiarity with enterprise software tools such as: Project Management Tools (Asana, Trello, etc.) Git (or other source control, versioning) JIRA/Confluence (or other issue and bug tracking), and Slack
  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or engineering

The extra stuff that would be nice:

  • 2+ years with hands-on experience prioritizing product backlogs, producing detailed requirements and wire-framing UX concepts and workflows
  • Experience with working with offshore and onshore teams
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Certification
  • Experience with APIs
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, & JavaScript
  • Restaurant or convenience store marketing experience
  • Previous experience at a B2B SaaS company
