The kind of person we’re looking for: 

We’re looking for a passionate, smart, curious, empathetic person with user-centered design experience to enhance customer satisfaction by improving the usability and accessibility associated with using Paytronix. If you are someone who likes to prototype on Monday and dive into usability testing of a new feature on Wednesday this role is for you. You’ll need strong collaboration, leadership, oral, and visual communication (emphasis on listening and asking key questions) skills which will help you as the evangelist for the user experience. 

The kind of stuff you’ll be doing: 

  • Defining the user model and user interface for new and existing Paytronix products and features 
  • Developing storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design requirements
  • Creating high fidelity mockups that display innovative, beautiful, and user-centered designs
  • Gauging the usability of new and existing products, and making research-based design enhancements  
  • Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices and standards 
  • Delivering the necessary visual assets to developers for design implementation 
  • Participating in and running user design validation sessions 
  • Participating in and running iterative design sprints 

The kind of experience you’ll need: 

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in service, Interaction, or related design field. 
  • Proven track record including a portfolio of example UI/UX improvements 
  • Experience defining a design strategy and breaking down into shippable elements 
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for design and craftsmanship 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • Knowledge on User Center design methodology 
  • Proficiency in Invision, Sketch, Figma and other leading design tools Understanding of HTML/CSS knowledge. We don’t expect you to code, but you should be able to understand the boundaries of a web-based application
