Ideally based in Miami and reporting to the Global Head of Operations & USA Country Head, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Consumer & B2B Finance and Operations on a daily basis. We are expanding the range of Payment, Acquiring and Banking products offered by Paysend. You will contribute to the scalable growth of the overall business, and devise and manage the financial strategy and administrative processes as well as the operational procedures and controls for new products in the fintech fields of Banking, Payment Services & Acquiring. 

You should have deep knowledge of FinTech products in the market today and in depth understanding of the Financial and Operational Risks associated with offering payment and banking services to various types of SMEs. As Sr. Finance and Operations Manager you will be a strategic leader and an excellent communicator with experience in accounting practices and running an operations function with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly. You will have the ability to earn trust through outstanding execution and have broad technical and analytical skills to evaluate performance against company goals and scale business operations through optimization opportunities. 

In this role you will partner with global teams such as Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Product, Technology, Legal and Compliance, and other support teams in London, Moscow, and across Europe to support the day-to-day execution of the business including managing internal and external communications, tracking budgets and investments, support legal and risk management processes, lead financial procedures, and provide reporting and strategic insights to business leaders to devise and implement Paysend’s strategy for our industry-leading products across the US and Latam market.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage and drive the company’s operations and financial planning for Paysend Americas, and monitor financial and operational performance to prepare the company for hypergrowth 
  • Develop relationships and partner with compliance, legal, finance, sales, operations, customer support, and key external partners to identify and address reporting issues
  • Responsible for MTL operations and all applicable filings (Money Transfer Licence on a state-by-state basis)
  • Responsible for ensuring that all operational processes and financial statements are correctly documented, up-to-date, and ready for internal/external audit inspection with local regulatory policies
  • Manage and negotiate with local clients, vendors, and banks to identify issues or escalations and/or opportunities, like securing optimal banking arrangements and FX for Paysend USA and Latam
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations to support new products/services
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual operational and financial business reviews for Paysend Americas providing insights and recommendations to Board and Internal Senior Leadership team 
  • Work with Group CFO, control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure, covering debt, equity, and other structured financial mechanisms to ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations 
  • Work with Group COO to ensure Customer Service KPIs and overall customer satisfaction with Paysend 
  • Identify and recruit talented personnel to join Paysend USA and extend our financial and operational capabilities as necessary

What you’ll need to be successful in the role

  • +10 years senior executive level as Finance Director, Business Operations, or similar roles in a large commercial organization in the financial services sector 
  • Strong network of contacts in the Banking and Financial Services industry locally in the USA 
  • Specific knowledge of card acquiring & payment processing, networks & associations including but not limited to US local networks, global networks, Mastercard / Visa OCTs, digital wallets, UPI, Google & Apple Pay, etc. 
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices with experience working with Regulators in the USA
  • Proven experience in managing financial and operational functions in a high-growth company 
  • The pro-active and problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify, prioritize, clearly present, and implement solutions
  • Effective communicator, influencer, and relationship builder with the ability to partner effectively across multiple businesses and functions
  • Strong organizational and time management, enthusiastic and self-motivated leader, and effective under pressure
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (Netsuite experience preferred)
  • A Master’s degree is a plus, preference for degrees in Business, Economics, Finance, and Accounting.
