Job Description

PayPay Product Designers are committed to eliminating user inconvenience and providing new value at all touch points originating from payments, not just only QR code payments.
PayPay is looking for a Product Designer who will join us to promote product creation that puts user experience top priority.


Team Mission

Our mission is to support all of the important touchpoints in a user’s life from in-store to offline payments and asset management, and to update the user experience for Wallet and Money Management features. We aim to deliver a convenient and economical experience that everyone can use in their daily lives.


Position Overview

Join a project and work with engineers, product managers, and senior designers to develop new features and improve existing features that put user experience top priority.
Experience various challenges to deliver a new financial experience to users.

  • Design the total UX/UI for PayPay application and app/web tools for PayPay merchants.
  • UX flow and UI design based on concept
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis using questionnaires and interviews
  • Analyze and suggest improvements using numerical analysis tools


  • Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other roles together with Senior Product Designer in order to commit to projects from UX design to UI design.
  • Deep understanding of the concept and requirements, proposing a UX flow that considers inclusiveness, comprehensiveness, and consistency, and finalizing the UI design.


  • More than 3-5 years of hands-on professional experience in mobile app (iOS/Android) UX/UI design.
  • Experience in UX/UI design using Figma and Adobe
  • Hands-on experience in product release, effectiveness measurement, and product improvement
  • Business conversation level in Japanese or English
  • Experience in using PayPay application

Preferred qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in design utilizing HCD (Human Centered Design) and design thinking
  • Experience in managing in-house services
  • Conversational level in both Japanese and English

  • Senior Product Designerと共に、エンジニア、プロダクトマネージャーなど他のロールと密に連携し、UX設計からUIデザインまで、プロジェクトにコミットしていただきます。
  • コンセプト、要件を深く理解し、包括性、網羅性、一貫性を考慮したUXフローの提案、UIデザインのファイナライズまでを行っていただきます。


  • 3~5年以上のモバイルアプリ(iOS/Android)UX/UIデザインの実務経験
  • Figma、Adobeを用いたUX/UIデザインの実務経験
  • プロダクトのリリース、効果測定、改善の実務経験
  • 日本語または英語でのビジネスレベルの会話
  • PayPayアプリを利用したことがある


  • HCD(人間中心設計)やデザイン思考を活用したデザインの実務経験
  • インハウスでの自社サービス運用経験
  • 日本語、英語の2言語が日常会話レベルで可能

  • In principle, 10:00am-6:45pm (actual working hours: 7h45m + 1h break)

Paid leave

  • Annual leave (up to 14 days in the first year, granted proportionally according to the month of employment. Can be used from the date of hire)
