About PayPay and Pay 2 Development Center 

PayPay, a fintech company providing a service enjoyed by over 60 million users (as of Oct 2023) merely 5 years since its launch in 2018 in Japan. Why India ?

To build our Payment servises, we allied with Paytm, the biggest payment service company in India. Based on their customer-first technologies,we created and expanded the smartphone payment service in Japan. Therefore, we have decided to establish a development base in India, as we have been developing our services under the influence of India, a technological powerhouse from the beginning. We create user-first services with development members in Japan and Canada while pursuing the latest technology. That is what we will do here.

Job Description

We are looking for a web frontend engineer to join Pay2 Development Center (Work in India). 
You will be building features that change how people in Japan use and manage their finances and business. As a fast-paced company leading the payments industry, we need our engineers to be versatile and enthusiastic to take on new challenges in order to stay at the forefront.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with Product Managers, Designers and various tech teams to implement features.
  • Contribute to the team by sharing knowledge, participating in code reviews, and providing feedback to uphold and ensure best practices.
  • Triage, debug, and resolve product issues.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of industry experience developing secure web frontend applications in JavaScript and/or other transpile-to-JavaScript languages.
  • At least 1 year of industry experience with VueJS or React.
  • Software engineering best practices and computer science knowledge.
  • Business level of English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with frontend performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Experience with iOS or Android development, either with the native toolkits or with a framework such as React Native.
  • Experience with designing and implementing server side RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with building frontend hosting infrastructure such as CDNs.
