About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Talent who is excited to be part of our early story and help us build and scale a vibrant team at Pawp. As a key member of Pawp, you will own our recruiting strategy and pipeline end-to-end across the company, from discovering great candidates to evaluating, closing and integrating them into our team. You will collaborate with the cofounders and hiring managers to setup and optimize our recruiting flows and apply best practices across the company. As an early employee, you'll be working with a nimble team committed to shaping Pawp's organization and culture.

What You'll Do

  • Own our recruiting strategy and pipeline end-to-end across the company, from discovering great candidates to evaluating, closing and integrating them into our team
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to optimize our recruiting flows and apply hiring best practices to improve our processes
  • Manage inbound and third-party recruiter candidates from end-to-end
  • Discover, onboard, and manage relationship with various third-party recruiters and partners to meet our hiring goals
  • Run searches across engineering and product accommodating for a broad set of technical skills
  • Run executive searches

What You'll Need

  • Experience running Talent Acquisition at a fast-growing tech company before, or comparable experiences
  • 5+ years of experience recruiting for a variety of roles with a strong focus on Product and Engineering — experience scaling a company from ~30 to hyper growth (~300+) people
  • You are based in New York
  • You are an independent worker with an ownership mindset. You understand what excellence in talent looks like, and are able to build systems to consistently find, vet and close that talent
  • High standards of yourself and others - you believe in building things that scale, and holding a bar that can be an example internally and externally for the company we hope to become
  • A high level of empathy to drive a great hiring experience, both for potential candidates and for hiring managers
