About the Role

Pavilion Payments is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and support network and identity solutions in multiple public clouds (Azure/GCP) as a member of the IT Operations and Governance teams. This position will be part of a multifunctional team that supports, secures, and maintains the global Pavilion Payments.

What you will do

  • Availability to work with NOC & SOC L2/L3 On-Call support in a 24/7/365 environment.
  • Design, develop, and implement highly available, multi-region solutions on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Manage and administer the cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance, and security.
  • Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
  • Migrate existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions.
  • Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
  • Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud-native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments.
  • Develop and implement policy-driven data protection best practices to ensure cloud solutions are protected from data loss.
  • Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.
  • Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards.
  • Resolve technical escalations.


Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years IT experience.
  • A Minimum of 5 years experience developing or managing cloud computing with 3 years of Microsoft Azure focus and 2 years of Google Cloud focus.
  • Strong and demonstrable experience with cloud networking, including hub-spoke architecture and routing traffic between on-premises and different Azure regions.
  • Cloud experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization of IaaS and PaaS solutions, including enterprise-scale landing zones.
  • Experience assessing existing landing zones and providing recommendations based on cloud platform recommended practices.
  • Experience in the design and operation of large-scale enterprise infrastructure, databases, and application systems requiring 24x7x365 uptime.
  • Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security, and CI/CD tooling.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions verbally and in written form via system and functional diagrams.
  • Proven ability to communicate with other associates at various levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, enthusiastic learner, ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross-functional partners.
  • Proficient with GIT to perform source code management.
  • Experience with Terraform and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time.

  • Day to day operations for service request fulfillment based on SLA/SLO.
  • Implement and maintain cloud management solutions including initial and ongoing configuration of related automation, notifications, and reporting capabilities.
  • Support the engineering requirements of enterprise applications and develop Cloud migration solutions.
  • All tasks related to cloud performance, stability, reliability, efficiency, and security to both the sites and the general operations.

What you will need to bring to Pavilion

  • Associates Degree or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, comparable education or compensatory experience.
  • Cloud Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Programming experience with Perl, Python, and PowerShell.
  • The ability to programmatically interact with documented REST APIs.
  • Experience administering security awareness training solutions such as CrowdStrike + AlienVault support , or similar.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to organize work in a logical, thorough, and succinct manner.
  • Highly self-motivated, goal-orientated, and self-directed to handle multiple ongoing tasks.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments and ability to effectively prioritize.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and innovate in a small team with a fast‐paced environment, balancing both strategic and tactical needs.
  • Experience with managing and assessing cybersecurity controls across a broad range of threat vectors
