Patient tools

Helping patients live better and get better are some of the most important benefits we can offer to our members. You’ll take a leadership role in helping us design solutions that connect patients with the tools, information and insights they need to do just that, across all 2,500 conditions we support.

  • Patients can find answers to their questions. Navigating to useful content is easier, and members are spending more time engaging with our reports, and contributing their own experiences to them.
  • It’s easier for patients to tell their stories and share their experiences with others on the site. We can tell because the number of entries they’re sharing is on the rise.
  • We’ve improved the utility of the tools we offer to patients. It’s easier for them to see patterns in what’s affecting them, and share key details with their healthcare providers and other patients looking to learn from their experiences over time.

Member engagement

We know that making connections with other members is one of the best predictors of ongoing engagement among our members. You’ll take a leadership role in helping us design solutions that enable members to feel less alone, find and connect with other people like them, and connect with a community of people who can help them, and who they can help in return.

  • We’re doing even more to introduce members and help them get to know and learn from one another. The number of connections between members is on the rise.
  • People can see the impact their participation is having within the community, and as a result, participation rates are on the rise.
  • We’ve experimented with adding new information and opportunities to contribute and connect via our newsfeeds. As a result, members are coming back more and more to see what’s new and to check-in with their others in their community.

Data donation

Better measurement is key to helping patients get better and live better, so building our data asset is one of the organization’s top priorities. You’ll take a leadership role in helping us design solutions to collect the health data that matters most – for our members, to answer their key questions, and for our research partners, to help them learn from the real world experiences of patients.

Fast forward one’s the type of work you will have helped to advance

  • Data entry on the site continues to get easier and more delightful for members, and the number of data points being donated is on the rise to prove it.
  • We’ve got fewer static forms on the site, and a lot more dynamic experiences that enable members to share the prioritized data that really matters in right-sized chunks served up in mobile-friendly formats.
  • The solutions we’re building are increasingly scalable – they work across all 2,500 conditions we serve, and can be customized intelligently in our conditions of focus.
