The opportunity:

We are excited for a Lead RN Care Manager to join the clinical operations team.  This role executes on exemplary care management best practices, displays care management subject matter expertise, and manages a team of care managers.  Essential objectives include ensuring an amazing member experience, supporting Parsley’s clinical team, and supporting company business goals.  Lead RN Care Managers are a go-to resource for their team of direct reports, and collaborates cross-functionally w/ partners from Clinical, Product, People, and Membership Experience.  The role reports to a Manager, Care Management.

What you’ll do:

Care Management 

  • Proactively ensure clinicians are prepared for their member visits each day with all necessary patient information.
  • Manage inbound member inquiries from our online messaging platform, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
  • Execute best practices in care management to assist members with insurance, prescription coverage needs as directed by clinicians, lab and specialty tests, supplements and member scheduling needs.
  • Close gaps in care for patients and coordinate appointments with specialists to ensure the member has support on their health journey.  
  • Assist leadership in writing nursing protocols for RN staff at Parsley in conjunction with clinicians to ensure.  
  • Build meaningful relationships with members to ensure they are on track to meet health goals.

People Management

  • Mentor and manage a team of RN Care Managers to support Parsley Health’s clinical team and ensure an amazing provider and member experience.
  • Problem-solve and/or support care managers in the resolution of member concerns. 
  • Support your direct reports’ performance by understanding care team metrics, working towards improving efficiency, reliability and consistency, and coaching/training in key performance areas as needed.
  • Support care manager onboarding for new hires as needed.

Subject Matter Expertise

  • Ability to communicate deep knowledge of Parsley Health products, care management best practices, and clinical operations policies and procedures as applicable.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical, Product, and Operations teams in support of our products and tools for the best member and provider experience.

What you’ll need:

  • 2+ years in healthcare, operations, clinical care, and Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Active Registered Nurse License.  
  • 1+ years of people management or equivalent supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate w/ teammates in service of best member and clinician experience.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a passion for developing your team. 
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and drive to completion.
  • Demonstrated proactivity, autonomy, and commitment to excellence in your work.
  • Demonstrated contributions to improve process, workflow or day to day operations.
  • Solid analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to problem-solve.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Willingness to become licensed in several states.

Parsley Health is committed to providing an equitable, fair and transparent compensation program for all employees.

The starting salary for this role is between $93,500 - $110,000, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with candidates during the process.
