Parse Biosciences is a Seattle-based startup with the mission of accelerating progress in human health and scientific research. At the core of our company is our pioneering approach for single cell sequencing--published in Science in 2018. Single-cell sequencing has already enabled groundbreaking discoveries which have led to new understandings of cancer treatment, tissue repair, stem cell therapy, kidney and liver disease, brain development, and the immune system. At Parse, we are providing researchers with the ability to perform single cell sequencing with unprecedented scale and ease.

Parse offers competitive salaries and stock options in addition to a comprehensive medical benefits package with medical, dental, and vision coverage. Parse Biosciences is an equal opportunity employer.

Who We’re Looking For:

You care about the impact of your work and are aligned with our mission of enabling faster scientific progress. You care about enabling researchers to develop new therapies and better understand biology.

You have a passion for technology development in genomics and molecular biology. You value working and solving problems as part of a team, but can also take initiative and work independently. You can adapt to a rapidly changing technology landscape and are open to learning new skills.

Job Summary:

Your primary technical focus will be improving the performance of our single-cell RNA-sequencing kit and expanding the applications beyond whole transcriptome sequencing. As a scientist at Parse, you will become an expert on the molecular biology relevant to single cell sequencing and use that expertise to come up with creative solutions and technologies. Ideas will be systematically tested with careful planning, experimental execution, and analysis. You will work as part of a collaborative team of other scientists and research associates and be responsible for clearly communicating results to the rest of the team. As a scientist, you will also mentor more junior members of the research team and contribute to their career development.

  • Must have strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with single-cell sequencing
  • Programming experience (Python or R)
