Position Summary:

To deliver on the transformation of health benefit offerings for mid-sized businesses, we are expanding our financial planning and analysis capability. Specifically, this role will sit at the core of one of the fundamental parts of our business: the performance of our captive products and financial benefit delivered to our members.

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent senior financial analyst that will serve as business partner to our Chief Underwriting Officer and SVP of Underwriting, as well as provide regular counsel to the CFO and Management team as it relates to our underwriting performance, the health of our captive organizations, and opportunities to return more value for our members. This position offers a long-term growth within the organization and a high degree of leadership visibility and engagement. The Senior Analyst will report directly to the VP, Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Serve as business partner to senior Underwriting and Account Management leadership to drive team performance and execution

· Develop & operationalize key reporting, including real-time dashboards and monthly executive reporting to drive improved business performance

· Support creation of investor & board reporting, both on a regular cadence (board meetings) and ad hoc basis

· Lead development of reporting with carrier partners and other strategic partners

· Partner closely with the IT and Analytics teams to ensure data quality & scalability of claims & key underwriting data and Controllership to ensure consistent and accurate reporting

· Support multi-year business strategy and planning alongside VP of Finance and CFO

· Serve as a functional expert internally on underwriting process, reporting, and key data inputs and for Finance team and leadership at Pareto

· Perform ad hoc strategic finance and FP&A work, as necessary

This is a Full-Time position. Pareto Health allows for a flexible working environment, with our Finance organization is located in Philadelphia, PA.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Capability to work at a high level independently

· Executive presence and ability to manage senior level business partnership

· Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

· Financial data analysis

· Ability to develop and articulate complex reporting findings; data presentation excellence

· Expert at Microsoft Excel, high proficiency at full Office suite

· Interest in or planned pursuit of actuarial certification

· Preferred proficiency with Tableau (not required)

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in economics, finance, accounting, or actuarial science

· MBA preferred, though not required

· 5-8 Years of Experience in a finance or professional services environment, ideally with 4+ in FP&A business partner & reporting role

· Preferred: Experience within insurance space, experience with underwriting
