IN A NUTSHELL…

As a Marketing Manager, you will be primarily responsible for helping to drive revenue in the Texas market through awareness and conversion campaigns, new patient acquisition, new product development strategies, and promotion and pricing.  As well, you will partner with marketers in Florida to ensure that two of our most important markets have clear, strategic, and well-executed marketing programs.  You will be known as the marketing expert in Texas, representing the voice and motivations of our patients (both current and future/potential), and well-versed in the local competition.

This role is highly collaborative and requires creative problem solving, strong communication skills, personal initiative, and leadership skills. This role requires marketing operations experience, project management skills, and a deep understanding of product marketing and consumer insights.  Your personal success will be evident by the business growth and customer satisfaction you are able to achieve in your markets. This role will require a high level of strategic and organizational leadership.

Parallel is one of the largest multi-state cannabis companies in the world, owning and operating in four markets; Florida (Surterra Wellness), Massachusetts (NETA), Pennsylvania (Goodblend) and Texas (Surterra Wellness). If you enjoy companies that are growing, moving fast, and constantly challenging themselves to achieve more, then Parallel is for you. We work hard, lean on each other, and are passionate about a pretty ambitious vision … pioneering a new paradigm of what well-being can be for all people, everywhere. For more information, visit www.liveparallel.com

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Single Point of Contact for Texas Marketing.  You will know the local consumer and key trends in those markets better than anyone.  Leverage data to uncover local consumer insights and opportunities which will inform marketing campaigns and the TX product roadmap.
  • Close Collaborator with Corporate Communications and Compliance.  Texas is a very challenging regulatory environment for legal cannabis.  You will be closely connected to internal and external stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of current market regulations, continually monitoring potential regulatory changes and their impact on our products, packaging and ability to effectively compete.
  • Brand Builder and Ambassador.  Goodblend is just getting started, and the brand is still finding its voice, personality, and value proposition for patients.  You will help us shape the brand and find ways to better connect the brand with the Texas market.
  • Competitive Expert.  Know the competitive landscape. Track new products, product quality and product pricing for competitors in the market. You will spend a lot of time ‘in the field’ to be able to provide firsthand knowledge.
  • Data Analyst and Reporter.  Provide routine reporting to ensure visibility to market dynamics as well as the progress and success of internal initiatives.  These will include:
  • Patient Advocate and Product Ideator.  We believe strongly in the medicinal benefit of cannabis, and expect that you will too.   You aren’t expected to formulate new gummies or design new vapes, but you will be the voice of the patient who is looking for relief.  Combined with competitive insights and consumer data, you should be a vocal advocate for what will work well in the market.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING

  • 3-5 years of brand, marketing and business leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or other related field

  • Track record of success in simultaneously managing and supporting multiple complex creative projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent presentation capabilities.

  • Cannabis, pharmaceutical, and/or regulatory experience are valuable but not mandatory.
  • Age 21 or over (Industry Requirement)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Industry Requirement)
  • Valid Government-Issued Photo ID (Industry Requirement)

  • Roll your sleeves up and do the work; strategy is important, but so is getting stuff done
  • Can work fast and be flexible; our industry is always changing

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
