Incubated by ARCH Venture Partners and backed by leading healthcare and life sciences investors, Paradigm aims to break down barriers across the trial ecosystem through one seamless infrastructure implemented at healthcare provider organizations, bringing potentially life-saving therapies to patients faster.

Our team is diverse in its experience and committed to the company’s mission to create equitable access to clinical trials for any patient, anywhere. Join us, and bring your expertise, passion, creativity, and drive as we work together to realize this mission.

Due to exciting growth, we are seeking a clinical data specialist to join our team. In this role, you will help drive the design, evaluation and use clinical data. You will help ensure end-to-end integrity within our data products, from source documentation to regulatory-ready data. You will help organize and represent clinical knowledge within our content management platform that enables knowledge bases sourced from electronic medical records and assist with the design, evaluation and analysis of those data to industry-standard vocabularies.

To address our immediate expansion into Japan, ideally, we are seeking a bilingual clinical data specialist to join our team who has business-level proficiency in Japanese.  Japanese fluent candidates will be given priority consideration, however, we are a platform product and are ultimately placing significant emphasis on the strength of your clinical data knowledge to increase the capabilities of our platform; hence, Japanese language proficiency is preferred but not required.

What you’ll do:

  • Organize and represent clinical knowledge within our content management platform and operate a terminology management system
  • Evaluate data from source documentation or coded representation to ensure accuracy
  • Engage with various teams to help define and implement extensions to existing ontologies and vocabularies supporting internal features and 3rd party content
  • Work cross-functionally to perform source-to-target mappings between incoming data (ex. EHR) and our data model
  • Identify and evaluate potential sources of content to enhance the product user experience
  • Become an expert in querying and quality controlling the data stored in our regulatory grade platform
  • Contribute critically and creatively to the analytics data model, content architecture, rules engine design, ontology development methodology, and testing infrastructure

Who you are:

  • Clinical experience in care delivery, particularly in oncology or in clinical research
  • Experience working with healthcare ontologies or terminologies (ICD, SNOMED, LOINC, et al)
  • Experience working with real-world data such as EHR or claims data
  • Experience in evaluating aspects of clinical data quality (missingness, transformation errors, data entry errors),
  • Understanding of healthcare data exchange such as FHIR

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Japanese, particularly in a clinical setting

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
