Paperless Post is seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and execute a growth roadmap for our top-of-funnel discovery product experience. Visited by millions of new and repeat customers per year, our browse experience is a critically important space for attracting and converting new users to the Paperless Post platform. As a hypothesis-driven and data-conscious team leader, you’ll create best-in-class experiences that delight users, and contribute directly to top company goals.

A little about us

The PP Product Management team is lucky enough to work at a truly product-driven company with millions of paying users. We take a data-driven approach to our product planning—working closely with our in-house data analysts, conducting extensive user tests, and collecting real-time user feedback. We’re proud to be building a thoughtful, high-touch, and high-impact product that users trust with their most important life events, and we’re looking for product enthusiasts with whom to share our ambitious vision.

The job

  • Drive Events and Revenue growth by building best-in-class product discovery experiences across landing, browse, and search pages.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teammates and browse stakeholders to define and execute high impact projects that achieve quarterly goals.

What you'll do here

  • Work closely with Product leadership and partners in Merchandising and Marketing to translate company goals into a prioritized backlog of focused initiatives and GTM tactics.
  • Using your intimate knowledge of the problem space, conceptualize and champion projects/tactics/tests that improve the top-of-funnel user experience. Additionally, consult and recommend improvements to the Native app browse user experience.
  • Develop hypothesis-driven roadmaps on quarterly intervals, and build internal consensus and alignment.
  • Quantitatively and qualitatively track success and failures, adjusting hypotheses and team priorities accordingly, with frequent high quality reporting to P/E and stakeholder audiences.
  • Craft A/B testing strategies (what to prioritize and why) to optimize conversion, rapidly executing tests and iterating with Engineering and Data partners.
  • Lead your cross-functional team by enabling, inspiring, and including them in the product development process.
  • Partner with adjacent product domains to leverage viral loops that drive organic growth.
  • Collaborate deeply with Product Design, Data, Customer Support and Customer Insights to inform and enhance product experiences and ultimately delight our users.
  • Serve as product-lead on top-of-funnel merchandising and marketing capabilities, partnering with the respective teams to find harmony between high ROI User and Admin investments.

What you bring to the table

  • 6+ years of product management experience in a developer-centric environment. Previous exposure, education, or side projects in product design or engineering are a strong plus.
  • Curious, collaborative, and gritty. You’re a natural problem solver and enjoy partnering with engineers, designers, and other PMs. Ability to work effectively autonomously and jointly with teammates and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You author communications for different audiences and can deliver compelling user and business narratives with supporting data and insights.
  • Passionate about serving customers. You welcome user feedback of all kinds, and strive to resolve gaps between expectations and reality.
  • Practice maximum ownership. Our customer’s problems are your problems, and you are relentless in pursuing solutions and improvements.
  • Experience with KPI/OKR-based product development, crafting product tactics and acceptance criteria to achieve business and user goals. Where a PM is primarily focused on executing prioritized projects, you are expected to propose and define new candidate projects.
  • Experience with A/B testing, measuring the incrementality and holistic impact of your work. Recognition that compelling hypotheses and user experience patterns require test optimization and iteration.
  • Comfort defining and collecting data relevant to your domain, analyzing historical trends, and hypothesizing against the information you have (and in some cases, the data you don’t).
  • Strong toolkit for organizing, influencing, and executing across engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Experience with ecommerce storefront, funnel optimization and user activation/retention experiences.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
