As the first in-house Android Engineer at Papaya, you will help create a frictionless mobile bill pay app experience for our Android users. You’ll take ownership of our existing codebase, add new features, improve performance, and produce a world-class product. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to write high-quality code and work well with other engineers, product managers, and designers.

What you would be doing:
Design, build, test, and maintain high quality native Android applications
Scope and estimate new feature development
Collaborate with other mobile developers and software engineers on architecture decisions, code reviews, and maintaining code quality
Document code, features, and processes
We’d like to hear from candidates with:
3+ years experience building mobile applications
Proven experience developing and shipping native Android apps
Knowledge of mobile app design principles and interface guidelines
Experience with Git for version control
If you have prior experience in Fintech, don’t forget to mention it.
