About the Role
The Vice President of Finance at Papa is a hands-on, strategic leadership role responsible for driving financial strategy and business insights. Reporting to the President and CFO, this role will be a key partner to the leadership team, shaping the company’s financial direction and driving sustainable growth by allocating resources to high-impact initiatives and new investment opportunities.
The VP of Finance will oversee strategic finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), capital strategy, treasury, business performance reporting, and support investor relations, including board management. Additionally, this role will lead the accounting function, with the Controller reporting directly to them, ensuring alignment between financial strategy and reporting.
This role will provide executive-level insights into pricing, margin expansion, and capital strategy. We are seeking a highly strategic and analytical finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to roll up their sleeves to drive meaningful impact. This role will also play a critical role in ensuring leadership team alignment and will be a key member of the OKR setting process.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Leadership: Define and drive financial strategy, partnering with the leadership team to set and monitor company OKRs and budget.
- FP&A & Business Partnership: Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis. Partner with Sales, Operations, and other teams to drive revenue growth, pricing strategy, and margin expansion. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and investment prioritization.
- Capital Strategy & Investor Relations: Support capital allocation, fundraising strategy, investor relations, and board management.
- Financial Systems & Scalability: Develop and enhance scalable financial processes, automation, and analytics to support Papa’s growth. Work closely with the Controller to ensure strong financial reporting and compliance while focusing on forward-looking strategy.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering innovation and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- 10-15+ years of finance experience in progressively senior roles, with a track record of increasing strategic responsibility and leadership.
- Background in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a top-tier corporate finance team preferred.
- Experience with B2B/enterprise business models required; healthcare and/or marketplace experience a plus.
- Proven track record of influencing executive-level decision-making and driving financial strategy.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, KPI development, and business analytics.
- Experience in fast-growing, high-velocity environments, ideally in healthcare, technology, or services.
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate complex financial insights in a clear, actionable way.
- Passion for scaling businesses, enabling data-driven decision-making, and driving long-term value creation.
