Panther is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Ingestion team. This role offers a six-month contract with potential for full-time employment. As a member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the backbone of Panther's data ingestion capabilities.

Operating within a modern cloud architecture on Go microservices in AWS, you'll focus on making data onboarding into Panther a seamless process, regardless of scale. You'll have the opportunity to serve flagship companies like Docker, Dropbox, Discord, Coinbase Snowflake, Hubspot, and others, empowering them with our cutting-edge solutions. Responsibilities

  • You’ll build and work on new customer-facing product features that empower security teams worldwide.
  • You’ll be hands-on within Panther’s codebase, addressing bug fixes, reviewing work, and providing constructive feedback
  • You will be a part of a core product engineering team, collaborating with product managers, design, and other engineers.
  • You will work independently and in small teams, where efficient collaboration & excellent communication skills are required (a must in a remote environment).

 

Requirements

  • You’ve worked professionally for at least 5-years as a software engineer
  • Experience writting backend code for customer-facing product features
  • Experience coding in Golang at a production level
  • Experience partnering with frontend engineers, product managers and designers
  • Experience in building cloud-native applications, preferably AWS
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, collaborate effectively, know when to seek assistance, and when to work independently.
  • You have demonstrated experience working on highly scalable systems and frameworks
