Purpose of Position
This position is for a Senior Analyst to join the Portfolio Data Team (the “Team”) on a permanent basis. This Team is responsible for maintaining data on the underlying private companies held in Pantheon’s portfolios or those in portfolios which are required to be monitored for processes such as investment due diligence.
The Senior Analyst will primarily be involved in ensuring the underlying portfolio investment schedules (Cost/Value/Proceeds [CVPs]) & Company Financials are correctly recorded and assist build strong processes to capture outliers when working with our third party provider. The role will also entail providing training & guidance to Analysts within the team when required. The incumbent will be expected to have a strong understanding of portfolio company financial data and be one of the key “go to” people for Portfolio Data queries.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Schedule Updates
- Capture Pantheon fund exposure to underlying companies based on information gathered from a third party portfolio data provider and additionally GP quarterly reports
- Assist with the management of the relationship with the third party portfolio data provider
- Take accountability for the delivery of team deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently
- Identify and reconcile any new transactions in the quarter
- Apply robust checks to ensure the highest levels of data integrity
- Become a go-to person for all portfolio data queries
- Liaising with Investment Professionals for clarity on various fund set ups and deal types
- Run daily stand ups with the team and ensure all Analysts have the support required
- Assist team with any queries that may arise
On-going system and process development
- Identify potential areas which would benefit from enhancements or improvement in the process
- Provide support to the team manager by representing the Team on Operations wide projects
- Work with the development team to identify and implement improvements to valuation and portfolio data processes
Other:
- Monitoring the queries -internal or external -directed to the team
- Provide technical support and training to the Team Analysts on core team tasks, processes and systems.

Knowledge and Experience Required
- Accounting/Economics or a relevant subject degree is essential. Intermediate/Advanced excel skills and experience running reports from Business Objects
- Understanding of private equity, financial accounting and business administration essential, also understanding portfolio valuations and how they translate to fund valuations
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail and judgement
- Experience of working in a busy team, working to tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload and guide others
- An understanding and experience of portfolio financial data and valuation
- Experience of mentoring / guiding team members
