Purpose of Position

The principal focus of this role is the planning and execution of Pantheon-hosted and third-party external events, as well as contributing to the wider team activities. The candidate will take a leading role in the planning and delivery of Pantheon’s flagship annual event.

The individual will a deliver a program of client and prospect engagement opportunities, and enhance our market positioning and brand awareness, across all of Pantheon’s core geographies. The Events Manager will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to identify event opportunities, develop event concepts and agendas, secure venues and vendors, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure smooth event execution. The role holder will also be responsible for creating and implementing event marketing strategies, measuring event performance and feedback, and fostering long-term relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage end-to-end event logistics, from concept to execution, for various types of events such as conferences, webinars, roundtables, networking sessions and workshops.
  • Develop and maintain a center of excellence for Pantheon across internal and external conferences and events.
  • Take a leading role in the organization of Pantheon’s Annual Investor Meeting, working closely with the Head of Marketing and Head of Communications to deliver an excellent experience for Pantheon’s clients.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align event objectives and strategies, creatively providing solutions to help deliver businesses objectives.
  • Proactively seek out speaking opportunities at key industry conferences, negotiate group delegate rates and sponsorship package opportunities for key strategies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, investors, media, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
  • Create and implement event marketing campaigns across multiple channels such as email, social media, website, etc.
  • Monitor and measure event performance and feedback using various tools and metrics.
  • Produce post-event reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and manage event budgets, timelines, and track expenses.
  • Sourcing and contracting of venues, AV, F&B, on site logistics for in-person events, or set up and management of webinars.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in event management and strategy to develop new ideas for future events.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and Pantheon policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct.

 

Knowledge and Experience Required  

  • 3-5 years of event experience within private markets or asset management.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages appreciated, but not a requirement.
  • Strong planning and organizational with excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with an ability to work at pace with accuracy and manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to contribute to team strategy and objectives and work tactically to achieve them.
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills are essential. Adobe Photoshop is an advantage.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft CRM Dynamics, Cvent, WordPress and Dotdigital an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Track record of delivering impactful events in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships internally and externally.
  • Experience of planning and delivering internal and external events across multiple channels.
  • Strong sense of how to add value, a willingness to learn and develop, making a solid contribution to the success of the business and its events management program.
  • A strong team player who is used to working collaboratively but also is highly self-motivated and proactive.
