Purpose of Position
The role will be responsible for enhancing the liquidity risk management framework (including stress testing) for our suite of open-ended products (including US and European Private Equity and Private Credit) and listed vehicles (PIP, PINT). These products have specific liquidity risk considerations that require careful oversight and monitoring, and directly influence investment management strategy. The role will also support the liquidity risk framework for our closed ended funds. In addition, the role will include oversight of portfolio-specific credit risks and wider risk mitigation strategies.
Reporting to: Head of Investment Risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of liquidity risk models for open ended funds, closed ended funds and listed vehicles, including setting liquidity limits/budgets, capital reserve measurement and monitoring, and detailed scenario testing.
- Monitoring the liquidity risk of all Pantheon portfolios, and communication of liquidity budgets to internal stakeholders such as Portfolio Managers and Investment Committees, as well as to External Boards.
- Monitoring of Credit Risk (Fund and Deal Level Debt) within the portfolios, including monitoring of counterparty risk and setting of credit risk limits for all Funds and portfolios.
- Oversight of risk mitigation strategies, specifically any hedging programme relevant for each product.
- Summarize and present a portfolio’s liquidity risk position to internal and external Committees, including Boards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and Pantheon policy, including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct.
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Qualifications
- Degree qualified, preferably in a financial, economic or other problem-solving discipline such as Engineering.
- Experience in a liquidity risk role covering semi-liquid or open-ended products. For example: Mutual Funds, SICAVs or Hedge Funds.
- Experience of alternative fund / investment management structures preferable but not essential.
- Understanding of typical portfolio hedging strategies, and experience of monitoring.

- Comfortable delivering and interacting with senior staff across a multi-jurisdictional business.
