Purpose of Position

The position is for a Senior Analyst of the UK Operations team in the role of Client Reporting, which is responsible for preparation & delivery of all financial & analytical client data both internally & externally. This includes production of reporting on Pantheon’s Fund of Funds, bespoke client reporting, and ad-hoc requests. The role will require the individual to collaborate with teams in London and New York while providing the global client service and investment teams support as requests are received. The individual is expected to be responsible for maintaining and building reports in systems currently used by the Reporting team. Specifically, the individual will be working on standard and bespoke quarterly and monthly client reports sent out to clients such as valuation and performance reports. As a Senior Analyst, the individual will also be responsible for supporting the overall deliveries of the reporting team, including efficient delivery of the scheduled and Adhoc workloads. It will include managing the expectations of stakeholders and working across Operations to ensure that deliverables are met. The individual will also become the SME of various topics such as investment strategies and client level reporting. 

Key Responsibilities

Report Development and Maintenance

  • Develop an understanding on Pantheon products and reporting requirements to support current reports.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of all processes and reporting deliverables.
  • Reduce risk by documenting current and future processes and report specifications.

Production of Client, Fund and Ad Hoc Reports

  • Ensure all regular reporting deliverables allocated are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of ad hoc client requests (client updates, cash flow forecasts etc.) allocated are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Reduce error rates and mitigate risk through the adoption of appropriate controls, process documentation, cross training and process improvement.
  • Act as reviewer of others work where required
  • Be a point of contact for various strategies or clients.

Responsibilities / Decision Making / Advice

  • The individual should be able to take responsibility to ensure that reports are correctly prepared in a timely manner. They will be responsible for the content and accuracy of the data.
  • The individual should be able to work as part of a team in a busy environment producing accurate work, sometimes under pressure, with an emphasis on attention to detail. All decisions can be checked with the supervisor for this role.
  • The individual should be able to assist with the reporting process change and improvements that are ongoing within the team; this will require a high degree of understanding of client reporting requirements. The candidate will need to display the ability to work on their own initiative; queries can be referred to supervisor for this role.

Team related

  • Monitor allocated workloads and deadlines. This includes ensuring deliverables are planned with other teams as necessary
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate metrics for the team to assist with stakeholder engagement and management reporting.
  • Represent the team in both internal and external meetings, supporting/deputising for the reporting managers as required.
  • Provide technical support, guidance and training for less experienced members of the team and other members of Pantheon.

Knowledge and Experience Required 

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Very good Excel skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Fund or investment accounting skills and experience are preferred
  • Client reporting experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP Business Objects and Crystal Reports is preferred.
  • Work experience in the financial sector is preferred.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and QlikView is preferred.
  • Degree in finance related degree or degree in quantitative or technology subjects preferred.
