About the role
As Strategy & Operations Associate, you will help drive strategic analysis along with supporting continuous improvement of marketing operations. You will build key performance indicator reporting, enhance marketing strategy / spend decisions and complete ad hoc projects in support of the Strategy & Operations and Marketing teams, along with the business as a whole. The projects can range from short-term immediate impact projects, like analysis of an A/B test or new marketing campaign, to defining success for long-term marketing strategic initiatives, such as new customer segments to market towards. Reporting to the Strategy & Operations Sr. Manager, you will help build a best-in-class S&O function. You should have strong attention to detail and enjoy solving complex challenges and implementing innovative solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Monitor marketing KPIs and business drivers, highlighting trends and analyzing underlying causes of variance to goals
- Build measurement plans based on strategic imperatives, communication objectives and media strategies
- Manage monthly marketing-level budget and reporting to ensure responsible capital allocation
- Identify opportunities to increase marketing spend to optimize new customer growth as Pangea scales
- Drive the internal and external narrative on Pangea’s marketing performance through reporting in preparation for regular C-suite reviews
- Partner closely with the Marketing team to design tests and execute analysis to generate actionable insights
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, or any other related quantitative field
- 2-4+ years of experience working in Strategy / Marketing / Consulting / Investment Banking / Business Intelligence
- Strong quantitative and analytical competency and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint, along with Google Sheets and Google Slides
Bonus points if you have:
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in Spanish
- Experience with Looker or other BI/Reporting tools
- Experience with SQL
