Padilla’s dynamic award-winning Health team is looking for an Account Executive (AE) to join the team in either our New York City or Minneapolis locations. If you’ve launched your career in communications and want to further your knowledge across the healthcare industry, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, med tech, payer, provider, association/advocacy and more, we’d love to hear from you. 

 As an AE, you will play a key client-facing role on the team. Typical assignments require sharp skills across writing, digital and social media content management, media relations, media list development, research, project coordination and event work  

Padilla operates under a flexible hybrid work model, and this role will require in-office work, typically three days a week. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 

  • Work with team members to develop and implement impactful omnichannel campaigns across a diverse range of Health clients  
  • Understand client objectives, program strategies, budgets, timelines and media plans for assigned accounts 
  • Develop content for social media, internal stakeholders and other audiences  
  • Assist in developing and delivering client presentations 
  • Establish and building strong relationships with key media who are important to clients 
  • Support media relations efforts, including media lists, media monitoring, pitches and outreach 
  • Meet all deadlines and keeping supervisors informed of progress on projects 
  • Understand new digital and social media and how to effectively use it to achieve client objectives 
  • Support team new business efforts through research, brainstorms, program ideas and contributing to the development of proposals  
  • Manage up, ensuring that your supervisors are doing their part so that your needs are being met and you are being supported in delivering upon your obligations to clients, colleagues, the media, business partners, etc. 
  • Manage and direct outside vendors, when applicable  

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience 
  • 2-3 years of agency or relevant industry corporate experience (healthcare preferred)  
  • Sufficient knowledge of marketing and communications and public relations, including the components of a plan and the differences between objectives, strategies and tactics 
  • Strong and effective storytelling skills across web and digital content, social media, news releases, pitch letters, and client memos 
  • Effective and polished written and oral communications skills 
  • Good time management skills and the ability to pivot quickly  
  • Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and a passion for the health industry  
  • Ability to travel as needed

US salary range
$55,000$65,000 USD
