If you answered yes to all of these, keep reading. Padilla is looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist to join our Richmond team. In this role, you will manage paid and social media content across a diverse array of consumer and B2B clients. One minute, you’ll be creating a program to drive sales for one of our food clients, the next you’ll be researching online influencers in the B2B space. You will also collaborate with our creative team to ensure we’re pushing the envelope to make awesome thumb-stopping content that pops.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Developing strategy and working with a team to execute full funnel social media advertising across platforms
  • Creating paid social media programs
  • Sharing feedback, direction and training to junior staff on paid social media best practices
  • Demonstrating a deep, tactical understanding of LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, Snapchat and YouTube
  • Understanding social media metrics per platform; ability to monitor and analyze paid results for clients as well as incorporate learnings into strategy
  • Acting as a direct client contact, owning successful execution of programs
  • Assisting in developing budgets and timelines for project and program social media plans
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations for clients and agency initiatives
  • Working with the Vice President to set strategy on accounts
  • Bringing creative and exciting social media ideas to table for both strategies and tactics
  • Overseeing development of social media content calendars and creative to ensure they successfully deliver on client strategies
  • Developing influencer strategies
  • Executing and optimizing paid campaigns across social media, with an emphasis on Facebook/Instagram, X and LinkedIn
  • Tracking data and pulling measurement reports to ensure we are meeting client goals
  • Keeping client status documents updated
  • Providing invoices to accounting for all paid campaigns
  • Managing up and ensuring your supervisors are doing their part so that your needs are being met and you are being supported in delivering upon your obligations to clients and colleagues
  • Joining a marketing/communications professional organization and/or a client industry trade organization and attending functions staged by these groups for the purpose of professional skills/knowledge development, agency promotion and new business prospecting for Padilla

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Three to five or more years of experience in paid media with an emphasis in social media, running successful full funnel campaigns that drive business results using tactics like A/B testing, retargeting, look-a-alike audiences and sequencing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrates desire for continuous learning
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally operate office equipment
