👩💻 The Role
Location: To create the best experience for this employee and to meet the business needs, this role requires you to be based within India with the required right-to-work status.
We are looking for a high-performing specialist to join our Corporate Governance team who can assist in keeping up with the demands of a growing global HR/tech company. In this role, you will be working with members of Legal’s Governance Team and our outsourced entity management partner, primarily handling things related to corporate governance, along with other responsibilities, all of which will require critical thinking, innovation, and integrity. Being a fully distributed company, you will work synchronously and asynchronously with team members all over the world. We are looking for someone with wonderful attention to detail, strong multi-task skills, high energy, a positive attitude, and no camera shyness.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Governance Manager, the Coordinator will keep Oyster’s subsidiaries, up and running. This will include, but certainly is not limited to:
- Assisting outside vendor with corporate entity creation and management tasks
- Working with various external and internal teams to maintain corporate governance-related databases and information and contribute to the organization’s single source of truth by ensuring accurate documentation.
- Coordinating filings and documentation related to company secretarial services, directorship and registered address
- Coordinating contract and document signatures using company’s preferred electronic signature software
- Performing various administrative tasks (scheduling, meeting management, etc.)
- Assisting with legal escalations including responding to inquiries from internal business stakeholders regarding our corporate subsidiaries
- Working cross-functionally to fulfill Oyster's Mission and Vision
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the Legal department and with cross-functional departments
Core Requirements
We are looking for someone bright, energetic, and a self-starter. The successful candidate will be able to handle any responsibility assigned, who can successfully work on their own but is also not afraid to ask for help.
- Prior experience in risk, compliance, or governance role is required
- Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output environment
- Proactive and uses independent judgment
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for solving problems and adding value to the company
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges while maintaining high-quality output.
- Displays a customer-centric mindset, ensuring internal stakeholders’ needs are met with urgency and professionalism.

- [BONUS] Prior experience in a corporate legal department or entity management group, a plus
- [BONUS] Proficient in Google Suite of products (Gmail, Google Doc, Google Sheets)
- [BONUS] Experience with Entity Management software preferred (e.g., Klea, or the like)
- [BONUS] Familiarity with a client relationship management system (such as Zendesk, Salesforce, ServiceNow) a plus
- [BONUS] Electronic signature software experience preferred (e.g., HelloSign, DocuSign)
- [BONUS] Working in Notion and Asana very helpful
