Infrastructure System Administrator

Infrastructure System Administrator:

One William Street Capital Management is seeking an Infrastructure System Administrator to join its IT support team. The ideal candidate will be proactive and reliable, and have strong troubleshooting skills. The candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, and four years of support experience. This role offers the opportunity to learn about all enterprise stacks and to be mentored by the Director of IT to further their infrastructure knowledge.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop and server level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications. Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.
• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming concerns and issues related to systems, software and hardware
• Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems;
• Report significant and recurring issues to IT management;
• Manage desk relocations and changes;
• Build workstations and back-end system using custom images as needed;
• Adhere to all IT security policies and assist in enforcing and monitoring IT security policies;
• Assist in various projects and duties as assigned.
• Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery planning (BCP/DR)
• Monitor overall infrastructure environment (SAN, Exchange, Network, etc.)
• Cybersecurity alerts monitoring and remediation.

Desired Skills & Experience: 

• Strong process, time management and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a desktop and infrastructure support role is required.
• Strong diagnostic/troubleshooting skills, must have an innate curiosity and interest in IT
• Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments
• Working knowledge of the following systems:
  • Win10,11.  Windows server 2019/2022
  • Active Directory, Exchange, VMWare
  • TCP/IP protocol stack
  • Routers, firewalls, switches. Cisco troubleshooting in particular. 
  • Citrix XenDesktop stacks, Netscaler, Load Balancing, Virtual Desktop
  • Thin client setup and controls.
• Working knowledge of the following software configurations:
  • Bloomberg add-in troubleshooting
  • Microsoft package
  • Acrobat
  • Web browsers
• Working knowledge of applications, especially advanced Outlook, is helpful - as is PowerPoint, Excel, Word 
• HVAC and UPS knowledge a plus.

Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $150,000
