The Role
As the Product Marketing Manager, you’ll create and own the first product marketing function here at Ownwell. You’ll spearhead go-to-market for new products and features, grow a deep understanding of our customers/market/competition, and own lifecycle communications and messaging throughout the customer experience. You’ll be the glue between marketing, product, and sales, and help craft the Ownwell story and the unique value we deliver to property owners. Reporting to our VP of Growth & Marketing, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to direct the journey of an explosive startup and emerging household brand.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute market strategies for new B2C and B2B products and features including research, competitive analysis, positioning, messaging, and supporting launches
- Create differentiated narratives with messaging that continuously improves with user feedback, testing, and a deep understanding of our target audience
- Be a strong customer champion, creative marketer, problem solver, and clear communicator
- Create and direct marketing strategies that improve product adoption, engagement, and retention
- Support sales in crafting compelling content across various formats including presentations, case studies, website content, and conferences
- Collaborate with the Product team to influence product offerings and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation that drive business growth.
- Track and analyze the impact of work across teams in partnership with product, growth marketing, sales, and analytics teams
- Establish and track metrics and KPIs to measure the performance of product marketing initiatives
About you
- Growth-driven, high-energy, self-starter who collaborates well with others and acts in a manner that promotes teamwork and builds credibility and trust in the marketing department.
- Strong communicator who clearly gets ideas across and executes on cross-function priorities with decisiveness and at a high level, keeping stakeholders informed along the way
- Proven expertise in launching new products/features and leverages deep understanding of the market, product, and customers to maximize positioning and messaging
- Creative and thoughtful, focused on developing results-driven and differentiated marketing and sales initiatives, positioning, and messaging.
- Adept at strategy and planning, with a passion for hands-on execution. You have a founder’s mentality and own the product marketing function.
- Excellent control over language and express ideas and thoughts in written and visual form
- In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing tools, platforms, and processes
- Exceptional project management skills; capable of navigating a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
