Meet The Product Team

Our product team is in its nascent stage of being established and rapidly growing. You will be on the leadership team working daily with functional leaders, and Ownwell’s founders. In this role, you'll report directly to the CEO, Colton Pace. Our team is a mix of entrepreneurs, product and design talent. Combined we bring wealth of experience from organizations that successfully built products that exceeded customer expectations.

The Role: 

This is an exciting role that will sit on the leadership team of Ownwell, reporting to the CEO, Colton Pace, and own the product mandate of our entire platform.

Ownwell is in a growth phase and is looking for a seasoned and skilled leader to solve for consumer experience in the property real estate space. You will be responsible for the roadmap that runs in a cycle of  strategy, planning, and execution. You will develop a product strategy around technical capability, customer insights, market analysis, competitive analysis, and policy regulations

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accelerating growth for current and future next-generation products and will need to exude unrelenting passion for our customer experience with strong financial acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit and skillset. 

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Execution

  • Work with stakeholders to develop a cohesive product strategy that enables audience and revenue growth and unlocks value for our consumers
  • Push an innovation agenda and engage the wider organization to embrace a growth mindset.
  • Execute and improve upon our product delivery process from discovery to planning to deployment. 
  • Make data driven decisions using existing analytics data, as well as defining new data points that will enable future enhancements
  • Use exceptional communication strategies to create alignment and transparency both within product development teams and with stakeholder teams through the organization
  • Drive product launches and go-to-market communications to customers and partners

Lead the product and design team

  • Foster a team culture of learning and experimentation and iteration.
  • Recruit and retain high-talent product managers and leaders as well as create career growth opportunities for existing team members.
  • Communicate clearly and directly with employees about performance expectations, productivity, and accountability.
  • Attract, develop and retain top talent, for Product and Design, and in support of other functions as needed. 
  • Coordinate across the organization by proactively providing visibility into the teams' work, including celebrating successes, learning from failures, and managing expectations.

Leadership responsibilities

  • As a member of the leadership team drive cross functional programs and initiatives throughout Ownwell to build a shared culture.
  • Executive representation of Ownwell with customers, at internal and external events, Board meetings, investors and partners, and at industry events.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product, with a proven track record of building and scaling complex omnichannel solutions
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably at a startup or high-growth company.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Consumer Technology Software Experience, preferably FinTech and/or PropTech
  • Leans in with the Engineering team for strong partnerships
  • Balances out the need for long term strategy planning and tactical delivery
  • Strong technical proficiency and an ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with relevant experience and a strong track record in engineering management will also be considered.
