Overtime is looking for a multi-talented digital media professional for the position of Content Copy Editor to review video content appearing across our social accounts.
The ideal candidate for this position will be ready to work cross-functionally across Overtime’s entire content team to ensure that all content meets our quality standards.
The Content Copy Editor is responsible for reviewing all content prior to publish, with an eye for video editing issues, spelling and grammar, factual accuracy, general formatting, and adherence to Overtime’s voice and overall editorial guidelines.
The Content Copy Editor must be able to efficiently communicate with video producers, social producers and video editors regarding if fixes are necessary for a piece of content.
Who you are
- 2+ years of Quality Control Editing experience
- Well-versed in Overtime’s entire content ecosystem (episodic series, social platforms, etc)
- Highly knowledgeable and passionate about sports and sports media
- Next-level communicator who can quickly and succinctly communicate in the workplace
- Incredible attention to detail
- Experience with all forms of digital and social media
- Excellent judgement when it comes to fact-checking and evaluating accuracy of Internet sources
- Loves to multi-task and juggle a million different projects simultaneously
- Degree in journalism, English, communication studies or related field preferred
