Role Overview
The Technical Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for the management of technical projects within the Test & Certification team. The TPM will deliver the highest quality deliverables on schedule and within budget. They will work closely alongside the PMO to drive the validation & verification of complex Air Vehicle hardware & software and monitor overall Test & Certification progress.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and communicate the budget, schedule, & product development activities to all stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with Test & Certification and PMO on all stages of the project: test request process development, test planning & resourcing, test setup design, manufacturing, and build, external test services sourcing, qualification & certification testing, and transition to production
- Support Supply Chain with management of external suppliers
- Generate and maintain Test & Certification inputs to the integrated master schedule to assist in generation of program metrics
- Set goals, track deliverable, identify risk and drive mitigation across all stages, including developing tactical execution rhythm and tools
- Own execution and completion of multiple projects in parallel
- Identify resource requirements and highlight gaps across various stages for all projects
- Own report-outs for all projects, highlighting status, risks, mitigations, and opportunities across all levels of management
- Manage roadmap of projects working within the framework of the overall program
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems or Software Engineering or other related field
- A minimum of five (5) years in technical program/project management role, preferably in the aviation industry (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered for this role); a minimum of eight (8) years of total experience
- Previous lab test and flight test experience with a deep understanding of product development & qualification
- Project management experience in complex systems integration development & qualification testing is preferred
- Project management experience with composite material system development testing and structural qualification is preferred
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management and Configuration Management; experience with Dassault 3DX is preferred
- Experience with MS Project, JAMA, Jira and/or other project management tools
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing standard processes
- Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Ability to work cross‐functionally, build relationships, and manage conflict
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive delivery of communication and follow up
- Ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints

- Must be able to stand on feet and walk around for extended periods of time.
