Otrium is a purpose-led business – we see a future where all clothing is worn.
Every year, billions of items are produced globally but are never sold. Clothing goes unworn and often ends up in landfills. This is a huge waste of creative energy, labour, natural resources and investment. Otrium is changing fashion from the inside out: we are an online fashion outlet marketplace and we tech-enable designer brands to find an owner for every item they produce.
How we work
Founded and headquartered in Amsterdam, operating across Europe, Otrium is a start-up company whose diverse, talented and international team, works diligently and passionately to achieve one mission: Wear Over Waste. We have a hybrid set-up which offers flexibility and freedom to our O-Team - this means we encourage our (local) O-Team members to join together in our office based in the Houthavens, Amsterdam at least 2 days per week. Do you have a gym class at 11am or want to take your dog for a walk? Just make up the hour some other way. Fancy a change of scenery whilst you do your work? Feel free to make use of our 8 weeks Workation policy!

Your impact:
Our B2B Marketplace department is a distinct business unit within Otrium, focused on matching excess inventory with stock buyers, who sell the product in secondary markets. It's a separate strategy from our B2C Marketplace, and we're on the path to exponential growth. As a small and dynamic team, we're building this vertical from the ground up, and we're seeking a versatile intern to join us. Our internships offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn, grow, and excel alongside a top-notch team. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves, dive into the deep end, and make your mark on a thriving business unit, then this is the place for you.
Your responsibilities:
- Support Throughout the Full Commercial Process: Get ready to dive into the heart of the action! You'll be our go-to person for tracking the deal flow, keeping tabs on where deals are in the pipeline and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. From sending out new deals to following up on logistics and invoicing, you'll be our rock throughout the entire process. Plus, you'll get some serious exposure to finance, legal, partnerships and other departments.
- Efficiency Improvements: We're all about working smarter, not harder. That's where you come in. You'll be on the lookout for bottlenecks in our processes and brainstorming ways to make things run like a well-oiled machine. Your ideas will be the driving force behind our efforts to streamline operations and shorten the deal cycle. And when it comes to our digital B2B Marketplace, we want your input on how we can take things to the next level and fuel our exponential growth.
- Ownership and Impact: We believe in the power of ownership. As an intern in our B2B Marketplace, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and initiatives, making a tangible impact on our operations and contributing to our overall success. Your dedication and commitment will be key drivers in driving our business forward and achieving our ambitious goals.
To join us for an internship you need to be:
- Enrolled at a University in the Netherlands (for the entirety of your internship)
- Studying a relevant degree for the internship
- Available from 1st June - 30th October ’24 [between 32 - 40 hours per week]
- Living within a 1-hour one-way commute from our Houthavens office (ideally)
- Flexible, curious, open-to-learn, tech-savvy, open for a challenge... with a great sense of humour!
- Fluent in English (other languages are a plus!)
What do we offer you in return for being an O-mazing intern?
- 550 Euros per month internship allowance
