The Role:
You will lead operational initiatives that ensure the Product Development teams at Osso VR deliver on tactical and strategic technical outcomes for our customers, business, and teams. As a member of the technical leadership team, you will own and deliver on programs of high ambiguity, broad scope and impact within Engineering and beyond to include peer Product Development and Customer interfacing teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own engineering programs, processes, tools, and relationships needed to create well-paced product development and support that is predictable and sustainable.
- Establish means to measure (baseline, ongoing, reports and analytics) and progress team health and development.
- Effect continuous improvement across Product Development and adjacent technology teams (IT, Security, etc) through well coordinated roll-out of changes to evolve technology, processes, policies, or organizational structure.
- Support leadership in preparation of communications or material for key internal team and stakeholder meetings.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful:
Must have:
- 7+ years of experience in a software program or engineering management role
- Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills. Comfortable interacting with all levels of engineers and management. Able to represent the concerns of Engineering and related Product Development teams.
- Strong analytics orientation. Able to quantify information such that they can be acted on to yield meaningful results, identify opportunities for improvement, or inform strategic decisions.
- Bias for action with a consistent record of start to finish delivery. Drives ambiguous and complex problems or situations to clarity and resolution.
- Trusted partner to stakeholders, constituents, and decision makers internal and external to Engineering and Product Development.
- Advocate for an engineering culture centered on excellence, cohesion, transparency, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Bonus:
- Experience working in healthcare or other highly regulated environments, VR, or gaming.
- Raises the level of the team by attracting, developing, and motivating top talent.
- Comfortable prioritizing and managing time and attention across multiple disparate needs and requirements.
Our compensation package includes a base salary of $180,000-$234,000 as well as an incentive bonus and equity options.
