As the Lead Web Application Engineer at Orion, you’ll work alongside product and other cross-functional counterparts including designers, QE, and web services to make improvements and develop new features for the Orion Command Center.
Experienced with ES6, React.js, JSX, Webpack, GraphQL, Apollo.js, and Babel
Understand API contract definition tools such as Swagger
Experienced in cloud-based web technologies like AWS / Serverless computing / ECS / Docker
Enjoy mentoring individuals
Are familiar and proficient in an agile project management paradigm such as Scrum/Kanban utilizing tools such as Jira/Confluence.
A proponent of modern web development software engineering practices such as Test Driven Development, Feature Flagging, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
Have BS/MS in Computer Science plus 3+ years of experience as a senior engineer preferred. (The degree may be substituted with equivalent experience)
Make architectural decisions and be the voice of the web applications team working collaboratively with executive staff, product, UI/UX, web services, and other engineering teams
Build elegant application logic and features to add to the existing web platform from concept to implementation
Write technical specs for new features and projects
Deliver projects on our roadmap from start to finish
Break down complex features and delegate tasks to your teammates to ensure mission success
Be a proponent of open-source software and actively work to collaborate and give back to the community
