As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of a small, but critical Finance Operations team. You will report to and work closely with the Director of Finance as well as other members of the Finance and Operations team to help achieve the company’s goals. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of many day-to-day accounting and operations activities and help to promote process improvements. Expected to be a self-starter, you will communicate broadly within the company to help achieve project and company goals.
•Assist with all month end close activities
•Manage the expense approval, reporting and client reimbursement process including employee reimbursements and Corporate credit cards
•Work closely with the Director of Finance and Sr. Financial Analyst on all A/R and A/P activities
•Prepare select journal entries including COGS, accruals, and other required Financial Statement entries for the month end closings
•Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements, Corporate credit card statements and other required Balance sheet reconciliations
•Work closely with People Operations Manager to assist with benefits and 401k onboarding and offboarding requirements
•Work closely with Sr. Financial Analyst on all financial statement analysis
•Maintain and update all Accounting and Operations procedures and help drive new efficient procedures to support business and operations
•Communicate cross-functionally to ensure all tasks are completed on time and accurately
•Other ad hoc finance projects including external or internal audit requests and tax or other finance matters
What We Look For:
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
•3-5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance, preferably in professional services companies
•Strong attention to detail
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Other Microsoft applications and Google Suite
•Great communication skills
•Experience with Netsuite OpenAir and Quickbooks a strong plus
•Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
•Proven ability to improve processes and drive efficiencies
