Position Summary:

Orbital Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional who will partner with the CHRO and executive leadership team to provide strategic thinking on organizational effectiveness, performance and change management, talent development and translate those strategies and goals into HR priorities and initiatives to ensure a high level of engagement and support with and for the Orbital team.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with CHRO to implement Orbital’s people strategy enabling achievement of team and organizational objectives and a positive team member experience.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Orbital’s business operating model and how the team works to build a strategic partnership with senior leadership, function leaders, and HR colleagues.
  • Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies and procedures that align to company programs and guidelines.
  • In collaboration with senior leaders, continue to evolve a culture of innovation, engagement, and empowerment.
  • Create and execute strategies that engage, retain, and develop Orbital’s team members.
  • Prepare reports for the senior leadership using business metrics and KPIs.
  • Partnering with talent acquisition team, set the tone for growth in recruitment and building a positive employer brand.
  • Encourage a workplace and an environment of inclusion, diversity and belonging that enables all team members to contribute to their full potential.
  • Monitoring key people analytics, identifying trends and opportunities for creating efficiencies, cultural norms around related disciplines.
  • Ensure an effective approach to employee relations including team communication, team member engagement, conflict resolution, and provide counsel in employee relations issues partnering with legal counsel as warranted.
  • Collaborate with the leadership teams to support intermediate and long-term strategic plans for retention and employee development.

 Qualifications:

  • B.S./B.A. in business, Human Resources, or related field; M.S./MBA is preferable.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Human Resources handling complex issues in a fast paced, rapidly changing, highly technical, pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
  • Experienced strategic HR business partner.
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, total rewards, etc.)
  • Strong executive coaching and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to develop high levels of credibility and strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Self-directed, well organized with strong leadership presence.
  • Expert level skills in communication, critical thinking and active listening required to deliver development and execution of tailored and impactful guidance that positively impact the organization and/or mitigate risk.
  • High energy level, enthusiastic, positive, upbeat, “can-do” attitude.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
