The Role:

The Recruiter (Manager of Talent Acquisition) will play a critical role in the expansion of Optoro, both in numbers and in diverse representation, by playing a leading position in the Talent & Culture team across several areas of responsibility.  This person will lead the talent acquisition team, drive optimization and help to influence competitive compensation strategies. 

Talent Acquisition and Management Responsibilities: 

  • Lead talent acquisition day-to-day, filling technical, product, sales, marketing/design and client focused roles and executive level positions, and work closely with leaders and hiring managers
  • Create strategy to elevate and maintain creative and diverse sourcing and selection processes to achieve growth and hiring/diversity goals, while maintaining low time to fill ratios
  • Develop hiring best practices, that include diversity and inclusion best practices, throughout the hiring process (i.e., train interviewers on bias, report on D&I goals and more)
  • Create talent acquisition and analytical reporting strategy; measure success not just on numbers of hires, but on diversity metrics, employee referrals, promotions and transfers attributed to hires
  • Lead any intern/externship programs that includes clear expectations and outcomes for the intern/externs - to serve as a future candidate pipeline for full time hires

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with additional education viewed favorably
  • Strong PowerPoint or Google Slides experience
  • Moderate experience with Excel or Google Sheets experience 
  • 5 - 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition and onboarding management
  • Intellectually curious and a demonstration of potential and resourcefulness
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills (internally and externally) with a “leading with yes” service ethic
  • A underlying sense of human understanding and empathy; high E-Q
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume, and ambiguous environment
  • Concise and visionary written and oral communication skills
  • Motivated by achieving goals and ability to manage against fast-paced timelines
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and positive approach to problems
  • Ability to organize and prioritize time in the face of competing priorities 
  • Proven professional composure, discretion, and judgment
  • Demonstrable attention to detail with a focus on the big picture

  • Experience working in consulting or in a high-growth environment
