Job Description
Optimus seeks a dynamic, organized, customer-focused Entry-Level Sales Representative to help us reach our bold growth goals, assisting fleets in reducing carbon emissions and achieving environmental sustainability milestones. This role is primarily focused on lead follow-up and cold outreach to engage new commercial truck fleet prospects while supporting existing customers. You will be one of the company’s first points of contact for potential clients, helping to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
This is a full-time salaried position ($44,880-$48,720/year) with benefits based in Pittsburgh, PA, with some travel requirements for trade shows and other sales/marketing events. Responsibilities
- Follow up on inbound marketing leads and perform cold outreach to engage new prospects, build rapport, and create sales opportunities.
- Utilize CRM software to efficiently track, manage, and document all sales activities, ensuring a structured and organized sales process.
- Oversee and manage social media channels to engage with prospects, share relevant content, and enhance brand visibility.
- Conduct virtual presentations, demos, and sales calls to convert prospects into customers. Maintain ongoing communication to foster long-term relationships.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other sales and marketing events to generate leads and expand market reach.
- Work closely with the marketing and field sales teams to align sales strategies, improve lead conversion, and maximize revenue potential.
- Track and analyze sales performance, key metrics, and customer feedback to refine sales tactics and improve results.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required) or equivalent experience (minimum 1-2 years) in an inside sales role.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- An ability and desire to take ownership of ones’ workload; must be comfortable and excel in a dynamic work environment in which the requirements are not always well define and priorities can change quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic about the opportunity to sell clean technologies to the heavy-duty transportation sector.
- A strong sense of pride in the work done that shows in quality and customer satisfaction.
- Prior sales experience or familiarity with CRM software is a plus but not required.
