Optimove is looking for a talented Product Management Lead to join our Product Management team, leading our team responsible for our native marketing execution channels. The ideal candidate will have strong data and analytics orientation and will thrive in a fast-paced and innovative development environment, that requires strong problem-solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. You must have demonstrated strong leadership in previous roles, ideally in the multichannel marketing sector.
Responsibilities
- Communicate directly with customers and users via calls, emails and online forums to discover potential product ideas, and collect feedback on released features.
- Drive high level product design activities, road mapping and brainstorming with the rest of the product team (product managers, UX designers), owning the roadmap for our native channels and integration with other product areas such as personalisation
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer success, data science, operations and professional services to understand the needs and challenges of existing and potential customers and translate these into product requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of fit for purpose processes to ensure consistency in product delivery from idea conception to engineering and enablement throughout the business
- Mentor and coach members of your team, helping them to take ownership of their allocated product areas
- Own the delivery of multi-channel features, creating User Stories for new features and for improvements to existing features, based on thorough understanding of the user needs and on feedback from customers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with UX designers to combine functional requirements with great designs.
- Collaborate regularly with the R&D teams and leadership, to provide context, clarity, and motivation, communicate the requirements, verify correct implementation, prioritize and provide solutions to challenges and difficulties in real time.
- Collaborate with diverse teams across the organization to drive the adoption of new products and features ensuring there is a clear go-to-market plan developed in tandem with Product Marketing
- Collect, analyze and present usage analytics to measure and improve the product.
- Stay current with industry knowledge of best practices for product management and UX
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Product Manager for B2B SaaS web/mobile applications, with multiple paying customers including demonstrated experience leading Product Management teams
- Demonstrated ability to identify and understand customers’ business challenges and come up with creative solutions
- Ownership of wide portfolios of product capability
- Ability to clearly articulate product requirements, provide “the big picture” context, associate them with business objectives and understand the tradeoffs they require
- A commercial focus, understanding how the product fits into the company’s portfolio and how it is monetised
- Experience working in Agile Scrum, and good understanding of the methodology and practices
- Fluent English with excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong technical knowledge required for effective collaboration with R&D
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent people skills – be someone everyone loves working with
In addition, the candidate must be:
- Comfortable with multi-tasking and changes in priorities
- Independent, proactive, takes ownership and responsibility
- Smart, curious, self-learner and enthusiastic about product management and UX design
- Willing to occasionally travel abroad (usually up to 3 times a year)
Experience in any of the following will be of high value:
- B2B Multichannel Marketing Hubs or Marketing Automation/Orchestration products – significant advantage
- Domain expertise regarding one or more marketing channels (e.g. Email, SMS, Mobile Push)
- User research – including identifying user personas, prototyping, usability testing
- Collecting and analysing SaaS metrics
