We believe Ethereum has the potential to solve some of humanity’s most crucial coordination issues. Since our initial inception as a research group, we have sought to scale both its technology and values.

At present, the most pressing bottleneck to the growth of Ethereum is its performance and scalability. We are building the most elegant solution to this problem. We do this in the open (under an MIT open source license) because we believe in open source innovation and its ability to accelerate growth.

OP Labs is building Optimism mainnet, and by extension, the infrastructure that powers all OP-Stack chains. We are improving Ethereum’s performance by orders of magnitude and donating the profits from doing so to funding Ethereum public goods. By operating as a Public Benefit Corporation, OP Labs can align its incentives with the public good and take positive-sum steps toward a sustainable future for the internet.

We're looking for an ambitious and growth-oriented Product Manager to drive the end-to-end Optimism developer product experience. This person will focus on the developer focused product, the Dapp Developer Console. There is great opportunity to be a leader and influence the direction of high-visibility and high-impact initiatives.

What are the role responsibilities?

  • Own the user experience for the Dapp Developer Console — a guided user interface for application development and deployment. Developers can quickly deploy contracts, manage their application, and set up various services without a steep learning curve making it easy to launch apps on the Superchain.
  • Define the product roadmap to deliver the value while building towards the long term vision
  • Deep focus on data to draw insights and identify gaps in user-experience to drive end-user engagement
  • Set Product OKRs and align OP Labs team around these metrics
  • Work on full features, releases and product improvements from start to finish with engineering and design
  • Clearly articulate developer/user need to engineering team to enable them to write technical specifications and prioritize features
  • Collaborate with Product Design to define and build an elegant user experience
  • Develop standards, specifications, and reference implementations of tools for partners to drive adoption and usage
  • Brainstorm, test, and iterate to help drive decision making
  • Develop deep understanding of rapidly evolving competitive landscape to position Optimism for success
  • Drive long-term growth of Optimism through a combination of data analysis, product ideation, and experimentation to optimize product experiences
  • Use data to understand trends in user behavior and product usage to influence strategy
  • Identify opportunities to drive growth and prioritize them to maximize long term growth
  • Communicate results and influence key decision makers, including product, and business leaders

What skills do you bring?

  • 3+ years experience in a product role
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering multiple complex projects in parallel
  • A passion for working on a community based product and finding simplicity in solutions
  • A data-driven approach, understanding of MVP and good judgment on when to ship
  • Experience participating in the DeFi space as a user —ability to articulate the difference between Zero knowledge rollups and optimistic rollups and articulate the tradeoffs between different Layer 1 blockchains.
  • Experience building SaaS products where developers are the primary users
  • Experience with open source software, crypto/web3 or developer focused products preferred but not required

What will you like about us?

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
