OpenStore is Keith Rabois’ Miami-based Series B startup, founded in March 2021, valued at more than $970M. OpenStore is reimagining the future of e-commerce. Today, we're building the technology and team to identify, value, acquire and scale long-tail e-commerce brands. We envision a future where emerging e-commerce brands have access to instant liquidity for their businesses and where consumers have ready access to the best small-brand products.

Behind the scenes, we’re a team of experienced founders, operators, and software engineers who saw a chance to change the e-commerce landscape. We have grown our team 5x in size within the first year and are eager to continue expanding our team with humble achievers committed to excellence.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Today, e-commerce only partially replaces the in-person shopping experience. It’s still missing the joy of serendipitous discovery; the relief of fulfilling an urgent, last minute need; the immediate gratification of finding something just right. At OpenStore, we’ll fix that by building a vertically-integrated shopping destination, as broadly and horizontally as possible. What does that mean?

  • Vertically integrated: We own every brand
  • Horizontally: Across every category and price point

It’s an incredibly ambitious goal, and in order to achieve it we need to own the ecommerce experience from end-to-end. To deliver delightful online shopping experiences we are building a best-in-class ecommerce platform, from marketing and consumer facing storefronts, to internal operations and logistics.

You will own the design of innovative products for merchants, influencers, and shoppers on both web and iOS. Your work will enable OpenStore to add more unique brands to our portfolio, and become a distinct consumer brand that’s loved by shoppers for finding the perfect products, right when they need them.

Incorporating our new visual identity you will develop high-fidelity designs and prototypes to validate your ideas, contribute to design systems, and form close working relationships with your engineering colleagues to build elegant solutions for complex ecommerce problems.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Explore a broad range of solutions that go above and beyond the typical ecommerce experience
  • Prototype and test product flows with stakeholders and consumers
  • Contribute to our design system by identifying and driving innovative additions to it
  • Collaborate with brand design to incorporate our new visual identity into our products
  • In close partnership with top engineers ship delightful and compelling user experiences that exceed the expectations of today’s merchants and shoppers

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments. At this stage we’re still learning. You will iterate with engineers, analysts and product managers to focus on high impact work
  • You can work through ambiguity. Your experience will enable you to focus on the elements that matter most and drive clear insights that inform the team’s priorities
  • You are strategic. You’re focused on where you’re going and build the strategies and plans to achieve the goal. You’re not afraid to admit something didn’t work and have backup plans brewing for your next test
  • You take ownership. You are comfortable driving projects end-to-end that execute and eliminate blockers, helping you and the company move fast with confidence. You know when to raise your hand and ask for help

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • 4+ years of experience in product design for web and mobile
  • The ability to create consistent scalable design solutions to a wide range of problems
  • Strong knowledge of Figma, particularly working with components, variables, and creating clickable prototypes
  • Excellent fundamentals of typographic, interaction, and information design
  • A passion for designing at the intersection of great brands and unique products

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
