OpenStore is Keith Rabois’ Miami-based Series B startup, founded in March 2021, valued at more than $970M. OpenStore is reimagining the future of e-commerce. Today, we're building the technology and team to identify, value, acquire and scale long-tail e-commerce brands. We envision a future where emerging e-commerce brands have access to instant liquidity for their businesses and where consumers have ready access to the best small-brand products.

Behind the scenes, we’re a team of experienced founders, operators, and software engineers who saw a chance to change the e-commerce landscape. We have grown our team 5x in size within the first year and are eager to continue expanding our team with humble achievers committed to excellence.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re seeking an experienced Content Marketing Manager to develop OpenStore’s content strategy from the ground up. You know how to develop, experiment with, and measure successful content strategies across multiple channels, including our website, email campaigns, blog, newsletter, and more. In this role, you’ll champion the e-commerce entrepreneurs building on Shopify by creating content that creates awareness and brand affinity for OpenStore. You will be the 2nd member of our Communications team, reporting to the Head of Communications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop a comprehensive content marketing strategy across key channels to engage Shopify entrepreneurs
  • Test, measure, and iterate on content marketing campaigns to support our B2B side of the company, including our acquisition and OpenStore Drive offerings
  • Help create our Voice and Tone guidelines to help ensure content is consistent across other channels and communications, such as 1-pagers, pitch decks, email frameworks, owned by other teams
  • Own content strategy and development across our blog and newsletter
  • Partner closely with the B2B and Growth teams, as well as Design, Influencer Marketing, and Comms/PR

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You communicate and collaborate effectively. You know how to deliver the right message to the relevant audience at the appropriate level of detail. You co-create solutions that are better than the sum of individuals’ ideas.
  • You take ownership. You are comfortable driving projects end-to-end that execute and eliminate blockers, helping you and the company move fast with confidence. You know when to raise your hand and ask for help.
  • You are collaborative, organized and thoughtful. You actively solicit teammate’s feedback and can get things done through informal influence. You demonstrate judicious decision-making and embrace intellectual friction as a feature of improvement.
  • You can work through ambiguity. Your experience will enable you to focus on the elements that matter most and drive clear insights that inform the team’s priorities.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • 4-5 years of content marketing experience for well-known brands
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for e-commerce, DTC brands and products

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We are also required to measure our progress toward having at least 7% of our workforce be individuals with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had a disability. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we ask all of our employees to update their information at least every five years.

Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
