Mission
As a Software Engineer - Quality at Opaque, your mission is to contribute to the product quality, build and enhance automation framework. You will actively participate in the design, implementation, deployment and testing of the product.
To excel in this position, you must possess extensive expertise in software development and testing life cycles, a deep understanding of large-scale enterprise systems, proficiency in functional, scalability, and performance testing, and the ability to ensure feature quality throughout the entire process, from design to deployment.

- Develop, improve, and oversee scalable and efficient test automation frameworks and architectures.
- Comprehend enterprise-level systems and execute tests for scalability and system performance.
- Conduct performance benchmarking and possess the capability to debug to pinpoint bottlenecks.
- Conduct both manual and automated testing, leveraging appropriate tools and frameworks to maximize efficiency and coverage.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to verify software functionality and performance to ensure that testing activities align with business objectives.
- Identify, prioritize, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Actively participate in design and code reviews, providing valuable feedback to improve software quality and maintainability.
- Effectively collaborate across teams, decipher implicit requirements, and deliver high-quality features with minimal documentation.
What we're looking for:
- Strong understanding of test methodologies and tools used to ship good quality products
- Experience in Behavioral Driven Development and experience in programming and testing large scale products is a plus
- Experience with Python and/or other functional programming languages
- Passion for automation and testing
- 5+ years of experience working on enterprise level software product
- Self driven and excellent communication skills and programming ability
- Good handle on object oriented programming languages
- Good understanding of relational database concepts
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field
- Experience working on security product is a plus
