We are looking for a Software Engineer - AI to join our team and help integrate artificial intelligence into our platform. In this role, you will work with product and engineering teams to explore and implement AI-driven capabilities, leveraging APIs from models like ChatGPT, Gemini, and others.This is an opportunity to build AI-powered features from the ground up, working on both backend integration and AI automation. While initial work will focus on using existing AI models, you will also help lay the foundation for future AI-driven innovations within OneVest.

What you’ll be doing: 

• AI Integration & Development: Implement AI-powered features by integrating APIs from OpenAI, Gemini, and other providers.
• Backend AI Development: Build and optimize backend services that efficiently leverage AI capabilities while ensuring security and compliance.
• Prototyping & Experimentation: Rapidly test AI use cases, evaluating feasibility, performance, and cost.
• Collaboration with Product & Engineering: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify AI opportunities and bring them to production.
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Ensure AI-powered features deliver reliable, accurate, and explainable results in production environments.
• Scalability & Future AI Enhancements: Contribute to the long-term AI roadmap, supporting potential fine-tuning and expanded AI capabilities in the future.

Tech Stack:

• Backend: TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB
• AI & APIs: OpenAI (ChatGPT), Gemini, Claude, and similar APIs
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, microservices architecture

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend development.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, etc.) into applications.
• Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment, contributing to AI development and adoption.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with fine-tuning LLMs or working with vector databases.
• Experience with AI monitoring, cost optimization, or AI-driven automation.
• Prior experience in financial services or fintech.
• Experience working in high-growth startups.
