The Challenge 

At OneTrust, the Core Services team builds the platform upon which other business modules are delivered. We are looking for an experienced Development Manager to manage additional developers and deliver more features, new products and better quality. This person will also collaborate with architects and other technologists in order to make decisions for the platform.  

Your Mission 


  • Influence and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for products, making decisions on technologies that are robust and scalable  
  • Influence and execute on engineering processes that delivers predictable quality, including code reviews 
  • Help build high performing teams, grow and mentor the technical skills within the team and create development opportunities for them  


  • Design, develop and unit test applications deployed to MS Azure; assist with cloud application architecture  
  • Build quality directly into the engineering processes and solutions through automated testing and test-driven development  


  • Work with Product Owners to translate roadmap features into manageable components/tasks, estimate timings and resources, suggest solutions and identify possible risks  
  • Lead and participate in the architectural design of features early in the development cycle  
  • Contribute to sprint planning and help plan/participate in daily scrums, sprint retrospectives and sprint demos  

Code Review 

  • Analyze code quality and continually assess risk to ensure that high quality solutions are delivered  
  • Conduct and lead peer reviews  


  • Write, review and take responsibility for clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation 
  • Work with test and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the lifecycle  
  • Evaluate root causes for issues and continually improve efficiency within the team

Your Experience Includes 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical or business field 
  • 10+ years of full software development lifecycle with a minimum of 2+ years’ leading distributed teams  
  • Highly proficient at writing robust software for large-scale web applications in a dynamic environment with rapid release cycles  
  • Proficient in coaching/guiding/influencing others on software engineering processes and practices (TDD, BDD, Agile) to build high quality products  
  • Advanced knowledge of Core Java, REST, and the Spring ecosystem, familiarity with Spring Boot or Spring Cloud 
  • Experience in Agile development (Scrum, XP, or Pair Programming) and deep understanding and experience in product lifecycle management  
  • Proficient in principles of Test-Driven Development (TDD)  
  • Highly proficient with web services (e.g. RESTful services) and values API stability  
  • Experience with cloud application development (Microsoft Azure preferred)  
  • Proficient in using test automation framework, code quality tools and performance analysis tools  
  • Experience in Continuous Integration/Deployment – DevOps mindset  

Extra Awesome 

  • Experience leading a team developing frameworks for public (not internal) consumption 
  • Experience leading a team developing APIs for highly adopted systems (e.g., Salesforce, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)  
  • Experience working with “zero downtime” requirements
