We ask the right questions to push our partners to think critically about the business. As the People Operations (HR) Coordinator, your role reports into the Director of People (HR Business Partner). The “POPs BP Team” is OnDeck’s People Partners, empowering Team Members to impact business success through Individual and Team results.

As the People Operations Coordinator at OnDeck, you will:

  • Join the Business Partner team, collaborating on special projects with all of People Operations including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning, and Facilities.
  • Be an essential contributor and resource to many of our team members in our New York City, Denver and Arlington, VA offices.
  • Optimize our new hire onboarding programs and employee initiatives that represent our culture, mission and values.  
  • Support and help facilitate our Performance Acceleration review process.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new staff (from processing new hire paperwork and conducting background checks to data entry and system access).
  • Coordinate social events for our NYC office, highlighting our small businesses.
  • Be privy to highly sensitive and confidential information; leverage sound judgement and discretion at the appropriate times - always.
  • Become a master (and "super admin") in our suite of HR technologies – we use Greenhouse for Talent Acquisition, Sapling for Onboarding, ADP for Payroll, Small Improvements for Performance and Goal Setting, Culture Amp for Engagement, Envoy for Global Mobility, and You Earned It for team member recognition.
  • Above all, be a member of our POPs team and the OnDeck Community.

Necessary qualifications for success:

  • At least 1 internship in a corporate environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT and technologies
  • Detail oriented doesn’t even begin to describe your organization skills.

Nice-to-haves (not required):

  • Previous HR experience is a plus
  • Customer service mind-set and a can-do attitude
  • Identifying and implementing process efficiencies
  • Previous experience working with sensitive and confidential information
