Job Overview

Develop, maintain, and oversee the business in all aspects for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region, ensuring that the business increases sales, margins, market share and customer satisfaction. Lead an organization consisting of sales managers, application engineers as well as business development manager and sales strategist, while partnering with HR, Finance, and Customer Service to support the region. This position is remote based in Europe, reports to the VP of Sales, and key role within the company’s leadership team.

Responsibilities

As the EMEA Region Leader, you will:

  • Understand the local market, competitiveness, and customer dynamics to develop and execute the region strategy, including specific strategic initiatives to grow the region to exceed $100M by 2028.
  • Defines key marketing and sales targets (e.g. volume, prices, portfolio mix, channel, and market coverage) and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance in the region.
  • Collaborates with the global Product Management team for segment, product management, pricing, and product marketing support.
  • Coordinates alignment and support from global sales functions for key accounts, distribution management, and commercial operation support.
  • Ensures achievement of targets on orders, convertible orders, sales, design wins, and account receivables for past dues and days sales outstanding (DSO).
  • Monitors, analyzes region performance, and drives corrective actions as needed. Ensures appropriate approach to global /regional accounts.
  • Drives the growth of the top line in each market. Finds and creates new business opportunities that are aligned with focused segments, solutions, and channels across region.
  • Understands and shares the needs of the market by visiting and/or interfacing with customers.
  • Facilitates business support to maintain high level of customer satisfaction. Acts as customer advocate to identify and effectively communicate needs for corrective actions and/or areas of improvement within the business.
  • Implements global standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes related to operations/project execution and share functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
  • Ensures (with HR Business Partner support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed. Coaches, motivates, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Build an effective, capable, and high performing organization.
  • Evaluate and implement a partner strategy for service, system integration, warehousing, logistics, and other needs to enable local growth.
  • Collaborate with HQ function leaders for regional assistance.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10 years of experience leading direct or indirect teams.
  • Position requires the ability to travel an average of 75% of the time during a typical work week. 

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s degree or MBA AND 15 years of experience leading Sales and Service teams.
  • Requires strong leadership skills, operational rigor and ability to interpret and forecast changes in customers' buying patterns and product requirements, anticipate market changes and evaluate competitors' products. 
  • Requires broad knowledge of Company products and ability to develop business plans and sales strategies and communicate required product changes to senior management.
  • Requires strong communication skills to negotiate with, and influence customers regarding major sales campaigns. 
  • Ability to balance both driving daily operational goals while also leading strategic efforts to grow the business within the region.
