Business Director - Omni

Annalect is the data, technology, and analytics division of Omnicom. We help CMOs and their teams harness data, technology, and advanced analytics to grow their brands. We build and maintain the Omni platform which gives agency and client teams access to these capabilities as well as the ability to integrate and combine their own data and technology with Omni. We continuously innovate the platform to ensure our clients stay ahead of their competitors in data-driven marketing. Our team is growing rapidly and are based in over 80 countries around the globe, supported by global and regional team hubs in NY, London, Singapore, Gurgaon, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. The Annalect UK team is responsible for the relationships with clients led from London, as well as the development of new data-driven marketing capabilities. They form part of our global team and collaborate closely with local market Annalect teams across EMEA as well as regional Omnicom agency partners.

TEAM: Our teams sit centrally and work with central leadership, Client Leads, and Omni Expeditors across Omnicom Media Group UK to provide customisation and applied solutions to clients through our Omni platform.

REPORTING LINE: Annalect UK Managing Director

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive adoption, buy-in and engagement of Omnicom’s data platform and accompanying tech products and solutions, among OMG UK clients and their agency teams.

ROLE SUMMARY:

  • Drive platform and technology adoption by Agency teams across Omnicom Agencies, focusing on our priority clients and prospects, both directly and by working closely with agency contacts.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver strategic consultation to agency client teams, advising agencies on best practices and how to best leverage our tools to enable better outcomes for their clients.
  • Drive thought leadership leveraging Annalect data and technology including Omni, Omnicom’s marketing orchestration platform.
  • Support Annalect growth & platform monetisation including new client setup, new business presentations, customisation, and product roll-out and adoption.
  • Take a leading role in pitching with the platform – presenting product benefits to prospective clients and agency teams as needed
  • Assist in driving product road mapping, product evolution, and innovation, considering agency and client needs.
  • Work closely with line manager and Learning & Development team to set training and L&D agenda for agencies, integrating further platform usage as appropriate.
  • Keep pace with new product feature development, creating new product feature engagement and relaying feedback to relevant local and global Product Owners.
  • Participate in ideation sessions for customization and future innovation.
  • Support Omnicom vision of embedding the data platform with our agency users on priority clients by enabling them to drive value from the platform by:
    • Sharing key relevant developments and case studies from other clients, writing them where needed.
    • Offering support when required to illustrate relevant use cases.
    • Foster and maintain Expeditor and super user community helping them overcome any blockers they are seeing in market with platform usage.
    • Gathering feedback and be the voice of Omnicom Agencies in the UK, working with Annalect UK EMEA and Global Product and L&D teams on enhancements to Omni and the training available.
  • Additionally, individual objectives are agreed and reviewed on a quarterly basis (as a minimum frequency).

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • An understanding of some of the following: Enterprise SaaS, marketing technology, behavioural data, audience creation techniques, media strategy, media investment, digital media, dynamic creative, campaign measurement, product design – all things connected to using data and technology to create better marketing outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing technology, either from a client/agency practitioner, customer success or sales background.
  • Ability to problem solve and exercise independent decision making.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex ideas to various audiences with differing levels of technical expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with training or demonstrating online products is a bonus.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience at a media agency, platform, publisher, martech, Marketing SaaS or in a quantitative, data-driven field.
  • Experience of working in client-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
  • Creative and strategic thinker who is willing to take risks and challenge the status quo to build mutually beneficial relationships with clients and prospects across OMG UK.
  • Strong leader who can demonstrate problem solving and independent decision-making.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex ideas to various audiences with differing levels of technical expertise.
