About the Role:

Fuse is looking for a confident and experienced Account Director to join our dynamic team within the Sport division, working on a high profile UK based partnership.

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to clients, taking ownership of the successful management and execution of all deliverables within the scope of work. You’ll also play a key role in identifying opportunities to grow the account through expanded scopes of work or by introducing new Fuse services.

Key responsibilities include managing client and stakeholder relationships, interpreting client briefs, mobilising teams, activating partnership assets, and overseeing relationships with rights holders. Projects and campaigns will be varied, spanning purpose-led activations, digital content, events and hospitality, experiential marketing, and colleague engagement initiatives.

To succeed in this position, you’ll need a deep understanding of client business objectives, Fuse’s unique proposition, and the broader sport and entertainment landscape. This expertise will empower you to deliver outstanding results while driving growth across your portfolio.

Key areas of responsibility

The successful candidate will be joining a creative and dynamic team and supporting ongoing projects. Main day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver existing and upcoming client projects, with a strategic approach to activating sponsorships in line with wider brand and sponsorship strategy.
  • Building and maintaining close relationships with senior clients and agency stakeholders, and acting as a key Fuse representative across the interagency setup within Omnicom (including media agencies).
  • Acting as the main day-to-day point of contact for clients.
  • Demonstrating Fuse’s core values (trusted, collaborative, committed, and restless) and fostering these within the wider team.
  • Growing incremental revenue from existing clients and supporting new business opportunities.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of accounts through status meetings, reporting, project troubleshooting, and other account management tasks.
  • Liaising with stakeholders, including rights holders, supplier partners, and other client agencies.
  • Managing and overseeing talent relationships to support partnerships, including managing contractual appearances, approvals, logistics, and briefings.
  • Providing regular reporting to key clients and stakeholders.
  • Managing a team by providing regular feedback, motivating team members, and supporting their development.
  • Leading and contributing to agency-wide initiatives while setting a positive example for others.
  • Contributing to broader partnership work as needed.
  • Providing on-site support at events, including occasional weekend work.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the marketing or communications industry, with expertise in working across Sport or Entertainment.
  • A strong understanding of the sponsorship and sport landscape, including how partnerships and brand experiences fit within the wider marketing mix.
  • Experience in managing and activating high-profile partnerships.
  • Proven ability to lead a team, manage people, and support their career development.
  • Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills, including working with senior clients.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience in developing and leading strategic responses for clients, including collaboration with other agency partners.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail, with the ability to own projects from start to finish.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Solid financial acumen, with experience managing significant budgets and scope/revenue reporting.

You need to have the ability & willingness to work flexibly, usually in the London office, with occasional UK travel, on-site at events and occasional if rare weekend work.

This is a full-time role & you must be eligible to work in the UK.
